The purpose of the study is to evaluate the use of IMU Sensors on Google Pixel smartphones to stem-map the location of conifer seedlings as they are planted, to provide forestry managers with a detailed map of an entire planted stand within an efficient and accurate manner.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to demonstrate the accuracy of smartphone IMU sensors to stem-map regenerating stands during planting operations.
Upon completion, participant will be able to improve smart and digital forestry operations within an efficient and accurate manner.
Upon completion, participant will have a better understanding where seedlings tend to thrive over an extended period.
