Forest fragments have the potential to store carbon of about 47% (on a per hectare basis) compared to the original rainforest (633Mg/ha), which is about 85% higher than carbon stocks found in Cocoa farms (37Mg/ha). Species richness of fragments decreased by 15% compared to Forest reserves. .
