Are Black Foresters Becoming Extinct?

A 2003 survey of the 13 southern state forestry agencies revealed 1.79% of their foresters were Black. Twenty years later, a 2023 partial survey of the same states reveals 1.44% of their foresters are Black. Is it possible that Black foresters can become extinct?
