This session will be focused on the use of tree seedling ecophysiology and Target Plant Concept principles and processes to improve reforestation success. Additionally, the application of genomics as an effective tool to understand the drivers of complex eco-physiological responses in tree seedlings will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to define Reforestation Pipeline and Target Plant Concept.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe application of tree ecophysiology and genomics to better inform the selection of drought tolerant seed sources for reforestation.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe application of tree ecophysiology at the nursery production stage to facilitate improved seedling survival and performance on harsh planting sites.
