Co-Founder & CEO Instinct Hillsboro, Oregon, United States
Instinct's Automated Surveying Unit (ASU) is the world's first satellite-enabled bioacoustics device which automates wildlife surveying and provides real-time notification of results. The ASU was launched in April with users across Oregon, California and Washington. From prototype to commercial launch, the ASU's strengths and weaknesses are the focus of R&D.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify differences between active surveying and passive surveying of wildlife.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe emerging and existing passive bioacoustics surveying technologies.
Upon completion, participant will understand strengths and weaknesses of different bioacoustics technologies when applied to different use-cases.
