Understanding the dynamics of private forestland transfer and parcelization is important for natural resources management. This research seeks to understand what types of lands are transferring and splitting and among whom, with the goal of improving outreach, engagement, and support for landowners in an era of increasing land transfer.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify and interpret factors that are associated with private forestland transfer and parcelization, including landowner- and landscape-level characteristics.
Participants will observe new techniques and approaches with novel datasets to understand private forestland transfer and parcelization and how these methods may be applied to better target and facilitate landowner outreach and engagement.
