Director, Climate Science American Forests Washington, District of Columbia, United States
American Forests leads a collaborative research partnership to model the carbon impacts of a broad range of forward-looking forest management and wood utilization scenarios in 7 states. Model results allow us to identify climate-informed forestry practices and discuss future management and policy implications and tradeoffs across all land ownerships.
Learning Objectives:
Understand carbon implications of forest management and wood utilization practices, especially those aimed at reducing climate risks and impacts.
Consider how to encourage climate-informed management practices across boundaries and forest types.
