Brown spot needle blight and other needle diseases have been wreaking havoc in southeastern loblolly pine stands in recent years. This research project seeks to identify and address the fungal organisms other than Lecanosticta acicola that are associated with these problematic outbreaks.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the importance of identifying the fungal causal agents of foliar disease on loblolly pine.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the approach for fungal identification that we are deploying for the study.
