Sap production is understudied in Missouri, and our goals are to: 1) analyze relationships between sap production characteristics (brix and volume) and various explanatory variables (tree-level, stand-level, and weather) and 2) compare sap production characteristics between sugar maple and alternative species, including black walnut, sycamore, and silver maple.
Learning Objectives:
After viewing this poster, viewers will have an understanding of several drivers of sap production.
After viewing this poster, viewers will be aware of alternative sap producing species present in Missouri and the lower Midwest.
