This study reports on interviews conducted with certified burn managers across Alabama and identifies escaped fire costs as well as information about the planning, conducting, and controlling of prescribed burns. We provide data including prices for landowners and burners, as well as demographics of crews that complete these burns.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand the costs and cost structures of fire as a management tool and costs of escaped fires.
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand the intended and unintended economic consequences of fire prescriptions in the US South.
