This research mainly focuses on quantifying and allocating forest biomass, carbon debts, and credits related to forest management activities in the southeastern United States. A Hierarchical Hybrid Compatible Model (HHCM) is developed to estimate the forest biomass and carbon debts and credits related to the production of different forest products.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of carbon debts in the southeastern United States.
Upon completion, participants will be able to know how to estimate and calculate the carbon debts and allocate carbon debts to different forest products, and how to quantify the carbon offset of using displacement environmentally friendly products.
