The ETPPRP installed a thinning study, including three thinning intensities and an unthinned control, at multiple loblolly pine plantations. This presentation shows differences among the treatments in tree size inequality and growth dominance of tree height and DBH over the 7 years post-thinning, and how they relate to stand growth.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how thinning affects loblolly pine stand structure and production
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how to maximize benefits from mid-rotation thinning
