The Champion Tree Program keeps record of the largest trees in the U.S. This unique program has the potential to act as a vehicle for forestry messaging that reaches people outside of the traditional forestry audience. Through these charismatic, beloved trees, we can communicate the concepts necessary for healthy forests.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the importance of recognizing Champion Trees and how the program can act as a vehicle for other crucial forestry messaging.
Upon completion, participants will be able to nominate trees for potential Champion status, instruct others how to nominate trees, and understand the generic measurement guidelines for the Champion Tree Program.
