Forest Carbon Analyst The Nature Conservancy Durham, NC, North Carolina, United States
This session will compare various remote sensing products to field-based data to predict aboveground carbon in the Mississippi River Delta. The aim of this talk is to help participants understand the costs and benefits of different remote sensing tools and how to forecast carbon sequestration rates in reforestation projects.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe various remote sensing tools for estimating aboveground carbon stocks and compare the costs and benefits of each.
Upon completion, participants will be able to define a successful reforestation project in a carbon market context.
Upon completion, participants will be able to list critical indicators for determining Natural Climate Solution impact under climate change.
