The carbon market is an exciting place these days. Landowners of all sizes are now able to generate revenue from carbon offsets. Formerly, entry to the market was limited to large land holdings. Forest Carbon Works’ NW Regional Forester Sandy Letzing will explain how improved forest management projects are developed. This will include details on qualifications for projects, carbon quantification, what the contract entails in terms of forest management, how projects are verified for the highest quality credits, and what this means for payments for private landowners. This presentation will feature (case study) a current small forest landowner in Oregon and the details of their carbon contract and planned forest activities.
