The Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) is the most widely used stand dynamics model in the county. However, many are unaware of its stochastic functionality, allowing users to estimate the variation around model outputs such density, volume, canopy cover and carbon. This presentation will demonstrate using FVS stochastically to look at above ground carbon estimates and other stand level attributes.
