Dr. Katie Nigro (PhD) is an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow working with the USDA Northern Plains Climate Hub and Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station. She investigates how climate change is altering post-disturbance forest regeneration, with an emphasis on managment practices that can help sustain forests and their societal values into the future. Katie holds a PhD in Ecology from Colorado State University and a Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Evolution from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
