Dr. Kristen Waring is a Professor of Silviculture and Applied Forest Health in the School of Forestry at Northern Arizona University (NAU). She holds three degrees in forestry, two from the University of Montana and one from the University of California-Berkeley. She specializes in finding solutions to challenging and complex forest health problems by incorporating interdisciplinary research into silvicultural solutions and other management strategies. Her research and teaching activities span western North America, Costa Rica, Europe, and Indonesia.
