Currently enrolled in her third year of her PhD, Mandira Pokharel is a passionate researcher in the field of sustainable management and utilization of forest resources. With a Bachelor's degree in Forestry from Nepal, she graduated from Oregon State University in 2021 with a Master's degree in Sustainable Forest Management and a minor in Statistics. She is currently working on a project that emphasizes the use of domestic hardwoods rather than imported tropical woods for decking purposes. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading/watching fiction, and participating in community activities.
