Dr. Tony Vorster is a Research Scientist at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University. His work evaluates the interactions of disturbance, forest management, resilience, and carbon in Rocky Mountain forests. He employs a combination of remote sensing, field assessments, and dendrochronology to address manager-driven questions. Tony works with federal agencies as well as private land managers through the Western Ranch Management and Ecosystem Stewardship program at Colorado State University. He also serves as lead science advisor for the NASA DEVELOP program at Colorado State University, a program that provides remote sensing and geospatial training to young professionals while also addressing remote sensing needs for land managers and policy makers.
