Ashwin Datta (he/his) is Co-Founder & CEO of Instinct. Instinct has developed cutting-edge telemetry systems for automated bioacoustic surveying and forestry/wildfire monitoring. Hailing from the state of Oregon, Ashwin spends much of both his free time and professional life around forestry. Over the years he has pursued multiple independent studies and projects around tree ecology. Receiving his Bachelors degree in environmental engineering science from MIT, Ashwin returned to Oregon and started Instinct to bring more wireless and automated technology to the forestry industry. He is passionate about conservation and using technology to aid in stewardship of our forest ecosystems.
