Michelle Thompson is an ORISE Research Fellow with the Forest Service at the Southern Research Station. She is a recent graduate from the Duke Nicholas School for the Environment and has a masters in Environmental Management. Her expertise includes geospatial analysis, modeling, and research. She is interested in sustainability, natural resource management, and presenting science in publically accessible ways. Her previous work has included predicting climate change using climate analogs, modeling invasive species spread, and dedveloping tours and blogs for the public.
