Tonya Lister is a Research Forester with the U.S. Forest Service’s Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) Program in York, PA. She holds a BS degree in Environmental Systems Analysis from Cornell University and an MS degree in Forest Biology from Virginia Tech. As a member of the Analytical Science Group, Tonya serves as lead FIA analyst for the state of Maryland. Her research interests include urban forest resource assessment, urbanization, and forest fragmentation. Tonya has been involved in the establishment of the national Urban FIA program and leads Urban FIA analysis and reporting for the Northern Research Station.
