Sam Jeffers is a Graduate Research Assistant at Alabama A & M University working under Dr. Troy Bowman in the Forestry Department. Together, they have been pursuing data regarding characteristics of logging businesses in the Southeastern United States in collaboration with the University of Georgia. Their recent publication describing recent challenges and characteristics of logging business in Alabama will be followed by a similar study on the state of Mississippi and an in-depth look at logging businesses through structured interviews conducted with logging business owners.
