Chris Hohnholt is a PhD candidate with the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science at Michigan Technological University. Chris's professional portfolio includes work at Michigan Tech, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic, and as an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force. His educational background is in natural resources and agriculture. Chris holds a master's degree in entomology and a graduate certificate in grassland management. His volunteer roles include being a board of directors member for the Michigan Forest Association, the secretary/treasurer of the Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Michigan Society of American Foresters, the president of the Tidewater Mosquito & Vector Control Council, the president of the parent board for Michigan Tech Preschool, a coach for the Copper Country Soccer Association, and a bus driver for Gloria Dei church.
Chris spends summers and autumns hiking and exploring with his family while enjoying the serenity of beekeeping. He skis and snowshoes throughout winter.
