My name is Olufunke O. OLAYODE with a Doctor of Philosphy from Universtiy of Ibadan, Nigeria and presently a Professor in the Department of Forest Resources and Wildlife Management, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti Nigeria. My specialty is in Silviculture and Forest Biology with a strong passion for the restoration of diverse forest ecosystems in order to minimize risks posed by climate change. I have over nineteen (19) years of extensive experience working in academia teaching both undergradaute and postgraduate course as well as conducting research in the field of forestry, specifically focusing on various aspects such as seed viability, germination, seedling emergence and growth, carbon stock estimation and land-cover changes in forest reserves. My work is dedicated to advancing sustainable forestry management practices through a deep understanding of ecological dynamics, the strategic utilization of forest resources, and the development of effective management strategies. My goal is to contribute significantly to global efforts in forest restoration and to promote resilience against the challenges facing the forests which could be social or ecological. My expertise lies in sustainable forestry management, encompassing the utilization of forest resources, ecological understanding, effective management strategies and contributions to forest restoration efforts.
