Asija R. Rice, M.S., CCF, CCUCF, is the Project Forester at the Center for Heirs' Property Preservation® in South Carolina. In her role, she leads professional forest management activities, focusing on underserved landowners in nonindustrial, private sectors. Asija provides technical support for the Forestry program, managing geographic information systems (GIS) and overseeing forest field operations and contractor recordkeeping. She coordinates special conservation projects aimed at promoting sustainable land use and forest conservation practices. Asija is also an active member of the Society of American Foresters (SAF), where she serves as the Chapter Chair for the Edisto Chapter and the Communications Chair for the South Carolina Division of the Appalachian SAF. Through her leadership and dedication, Asija plays a vital role in advancing forestry management and preservation efforts in the region.
