Karen Snape is an Extension Associate at Virginia Tech, working in the areas of logger and landowner education. She coordinates Virginia's SFI logger training program (SHARP Logger) and the Generation NEXT Program. Generation NEXT trains and equips family forest owners for legacy planning - passing on both their woodland and their stewardship values through intergenerational transfer. Prior to coming to Virginia Cooperative Extension, Karen worked for the Virginia Department of Forestry in the Fredericksburg area. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Juniata College in Pennsylvania and a Master of Forestry from Duke University.
