Karissa received her M.S. in Ecology from Colorado State University and now currently works as a Research Associate for Colorado Forest Restoration Institute (CFRI). Karissa's work at CFRI focuses on the use and application of decision support tools. As a wildfire social scientist, she has been researching Colorado Community Wildfire Protection Plans for several years.
