Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, Colorado State University, United States
Miles Innes is a Master's student in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology at Colorado State University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Ecosystem Science & Sustainability from the same institution. After completing his undergraduate studies, Miles worked as a research associate at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, where he contributed to projects related to post-fire recovery, sustainable rangeland management, and invasive-species monitoring. His research interests include spatial and forest ecology, with a particular focus on leveraging technology for healthy land stewardship.
In his current research, Miles is investigating the fine-scale topographic and geomorphological factors that shape vegetation recovery after fires. His work aims to highlight areas where strategic interventions can most effectively support ecosystem restoration, delivering actionable insights for land management.
