Dr. Shaun Tanger is an Associate Professor of Forest Policy and Trade in the College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources. He received his BS in Wildlife Management from Auburn University and MS (Forestry/Economics) and PhD (Forestry-Economics and Policy) degrees from Auburn University.
Dr. Tanger’s current teaching and research programs deal with relevant forest policy and trade questions, emphasizing how forest policy impacts forest health and timber supply. His outreach efforts focus on forest management for small landowners, forestry-related economic development projects, and timber harvesting supply chain logistics.
