Reed Van Beveren leads Technology Policy research at the Environmental Policy Innovation Center (EPIC) where he focuses on assessing and building capacity to better leverage data and technology for environmental stewardship in and around government. He is currently leading a project to identify and address barriers to adopting innovative decision support tools at the Forest Service. Prior to joining EPIC, Reed spent 8 years in the U.S. Government Accountability Office reviewing federal science and technology programs, including EPA's air quality monitoring program and technology transfer at multiple agencies. Reed holds a Masters of Public Administration from Cornell University, where he focused on science, technology, and infrastructure policy, and BA in International Political Economy from Georgetown University.
