Flagstaff, Arizona, United States
Mark Nabel has been a silviculturist on the Flagstaff Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest since 2015. During that time, he has been heavily involved in the implementation of the Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI), a project designed to accelerate the pace and scale of forest restoration treatments across 2.4 million acres of predominantly ponderosa pine forest in northern Arizona. In this role, Mark has developed a passion for trying to find new ways to incorporate emerging technologies into the process of preparing and implementing forest restoration activities. Mark received a B.S. in Forestry from Northern Arizona University in 2002 and an M.S. in Forest Science from Oregon State University in 2008.
