Shawn de France is a member of the Confederated Salish, Pend d’ Oreille, and Kootenai Tribes. He is the Program Manager of Inventory & Planning for CSKT’s Division of Forestry. He has been working for Forestry for 10 years. He has been the tribal Burned Area Emergency Response Team Implementation Leader for the past 6 years. In 2014, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree from the Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, MT. Shawn completed the sixteenth session of the National Advanced Silviculture Program (NASP16) in 2023.
