Originally from France, I am currently a postdoctorate associate at University of Florida, in the forest pathology laboratory in Gainesville. I have previously applied my forest pathology background to the conservation of endangered conifers in New Caledonia, a biodiversity hotspot located in southwest Pacific Ocean. More recently, I have been involved in various research projects, from investigating fungal microbial communities including human pathogens carried by wildfire smoke, to more classical forest pathology approaches (description of fungal invasive species).
Even more recently I have been part of the research effort aiming at better understand the brown spot needle blight phenomenon impacting mature loblolly pine stands in the southeastern United States.
My work relies on the use of both molecular and morphological techniques to characterize fungal pathogens and the impact on their tree hosts.
In my free time I love to be outdoor hiking, play soccer and improve my photography skills.
