Jim McCarter, Scientific Programmer at Rayonier, has extensive experience in forest inventory, growth and yield models, software development combining quantitative silviculture, biometrics, life cycle analysis, and information visualization technologies. He has condicted research and analysis at the local, regional, and national level. He has taught landowner eduction, extenstion, undergratate and graduate level forest inventory, growth and yield modeling, and GIS and web mapping at NC State Unviversity. He current works on the Biometrics team for private industry working to data quality, process imporvements and system enhancements to the companys growth and yield systems.
