Tania Munz is the President & CEO of the Forest History Society (FHS), which focuses forest and conservation history. FHS is a donor-supported, independent archive and library in Durham, NC with extensive archival holdings, fellowships, publications, and outreach programs. Prior to joining FHS, Tania held leadership roles at the National Humanities Center, the Linda Hall Library and, most recently, the American Academy of Arts & Sciences where she oversaw the independent research center. She trained as a historian of science and was a research scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. She has taught history of science and environmental history at Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and Sarah Lawrence College and has published widely on the history of science and animal behavior studies.
