Brief Bio
Cary has 33 years of experience in forestry and natural resource planning. Born and raised in Colorado, his passion is managing natural resources for the benefit of both public and private lands. Throughout his career, he has managed lands affected by spruce bark beetle, wildfire and the largest mountain pine beetle outbreak in Colorado history. His management background includes environmental planning, public collaboration, partnerships and implementation of forest management and fuels projects through timber sale contracts, stewardship contracting, Wyden authority agreements and good neighbor agreements. He received a MS in Forest and Wood Sciences (1991) and BS Business Administration (1990) from Colorado State University.
