I am Basant Pant, a PhD student at Mississippi State University. My research focuses on determining the Wildlife Acceptance Capacity of Mississippi Black Bears among private landowners, particularly the factors influencing their acceptance. My broader professional goal is to resolve human-wildlife conflicts in transboundary landscapes, with a focus on large mammals. I am especially interested in exploring how contemporary human-wildlife conflict issues can be addressed using Theory of Change and impact pathways to foster coexistence.
