Elise McDonald is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, where she works under the guidance of Dr. Kamal Gandhi. Her research focuses on the effects of forest management practices on wild bee communities and strategies for integrating bee conservation into broader forest and wildlife management objectives. Alongside her research, Elise brings a decade of experience as an environmental educator. She specializes in curriculum development, educator training, and public communication, with a strong commitment to making scientific knowledge accessible and actionable for diverse audiences. During the convention, Elise will present her latest research findings and lead a professional workshop on effective science communication.
