Emma Briggs, M.S., is a first-year doctoral student at the University of Georgia studying wild bee conservation in southeastern working forests. She is an avid entomologist, forest ecologist, and current SAF Mollie Beattie Visiting Scholar. Her current research interests include the potential indirect effects of herbicide applications on forest pollinator communities and the role of streamside management zones in the conservation of wild bee diversity in managed pine stands.
