Assistant Professor

My research interests include quantifying and projecting forest and wildlife habitat characteristics and trends through various statistical modeling techniques; adapting these models to new locations, variables and constraints; compiling and managing large forest and/or natural resources inventory databases; using Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) data to answer pertinent natural resource questions; developing software for rapid application of research results; and conducting general forest and natural resources inventory and analysis. My research emphasizes practical application of the results to the forestry and related natural resources community as a whole and in particular those stakeholders responsible for implementing forest management.
