Watershed Natural Resources Manager

Julia Munger is the Watershed Natural Resources Manager for Seattle Public Utilities (SPU). In this position, she leads an interdisciplinary group of scientists specializing in botany, forest ecology, hydrology, and fish and wildlife in the Cedar River and South Fork Tolt River Municipal Watersheds. The Natural Resources Section focuses on projects and programs that support the Cedar River Watershed Habitat Conservation Plan, as well as long-term monitoring and management of SPU watersheds' natural resources. Julia also co-leads SPU's Wildfire Management Strategy efforts. Julia is a wetland scientist and arborist by training. She has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University and is a graduate of the University of Washington Professional and Continuing Education Program in Wetland Science & Management.
