Tara Skiba is a second-year Ph.D. student under Dr. Sheng-I Yang (UGA) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she completed all her past educational degrees. Her current research focuses on characterizing aboveground carbon on federal lands in Southern Appalachia. Her previous reserach explored alternative methodologies for estimating by-species sawlog volumes reported by the Timber Products Output group within the Forest Inventory and Analysis program. In addition to this, she is a teaching assistant for several forestry and wildlife and fisheries classes at UTK.
