My name is Felicia Froton and I am the Seed Program Manager at Mast Reforestation. Since 2021, I have organized the collection of several thousands of pounds of conifer seed across the western US spanning 6 of the 11 western states as of 2024. My goals include formulating collaborative solutions between public and private entities that result in more diverse seed supply for conifer forest landscapes and beyond. I also strongly advocate and organize for investment into the skilled labor force required to effectively scale our seed supply. Urgency and action are what has lead to the success of scaled seed collection that my team and others across the industry have facilitated in recent years. The exciting momentum at this time is an opportunity to build and collaborate on solutions that will have positive lasting implications.
