Cat Chamberlain is a Forest Carbon Analyst on the US & Canada Carbon Markets Team at The Nature Conservancy. She analyses and models potential carbon benefits from Improved Forest Management practices or Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation projects throughout North America under climate change. She is based in Durham, NC.
Prior to joining TNC, Cat worked at Conservation International to forecast potential benefits to climate, biodiversity, and people from various Natural Climate Solution pathways. In general, she is an ecologist and climate scientist interested in advancing community knowledge in environmental research, habitat restoration and climate justice. She uses Bayesian statistics and meta-analyses to assess the impact of climate change on forest communities. Cat loves music, reading, gardening, hiking, and biking.
