Dana is an interdisciplinary professional with 20+ years of experience in urban forestry and arboriculture, collaborative conservation, urban and environmental planning, policy analysis, design, and community organizing. Her government and non-profit experience at multiple scales gives her a unique perspective on our ability to create and sustain thriving places for people + nature by cultivating intentional and reciprocal relationships. She holds masters degrees from the University of Maryland in Conservation Biology and Environmental Policy and a Bachelors of Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. She currently serves as a national program manager with the USDA Forest Service Urban & Community Forestry Program. She is also a total nerd for trees and the people who love them!
