Libby Wawro, Natural Resource Policy Specialist, National Association of Conservation Districts. Libby was raised in the mountain west where she gained a love and appreciation of all things water. She graduated from the School of Law at the University of Montana with a focus on Natural Resource and Land Use law. After law school, Libby worked primarily with irrigation districts and private landowners on wester water law issues in private practice. She then broadened her horizons, moved to Washington DC and joined the Office of Water at EPA as an ORISE Fellow where she worked on various rulemaking efforts within the Clean Water Act. Today she has returned to Colorado and works on natural resource policy issues on behalf of the many member of the National Association of Conservation Districts.
In her free time, Libby plays soccer, rows crew, hikes and dotes on her two nephews who she lovingly refers to as the ‘wee demons’. She loves to travel, cook, and go whitewater rafting.
