Active forest management is an important tool for meeting wildlife objectives on private and public land. Regardless of the forest type, age class, etc. forest management can increase biodiversity, abundance, species richness, etc.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how the lack of active forest management is threatening once common forest types.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how the paradox between preservation and management is threatening wildlife habitats and the wildlife species dependent upon them.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how the lack of active forest management is combining with other factors to create forests that are less resilient to climate change, severe wildfire behavior and other disturbance.
