To address increasing concern over workforce capacity in forest industries, the University of Idaho is focusing on a comprehensive approach to support current and next generation workforces at secondary, post-secondary and post-graduate levels. Expanding and enhancing training and educational pipelines is key to addressing the workforce challenges we face.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to describe the various strategies used in Idaho to address workforce challenges in the forest and logging industries.
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to identify ways in which to structure, adopt, and integrate workforce development strategies to meet specific regional needs.
